Oklahoma Baptist University‘s School of Nursing, in concert with the Division of Communication Arts, conducted a Mass Disaster simulation, mirroring the urgency of real-world crises. The simulated natural disaster was about a tornado — a scenario all too familiar to OBU — and our students showcased their capability to strategize and empathize in equal measure.
“Our goal in this simulation was to help our nursing students think outside of the hospital and challenge them to care for the community they are in. We are so proud of how they interacted in this simulation,” reflects Abbie Richardson, OBU’s Director of Nursing Simulation.
Such immersive experiences underscore our commitment to preparing students for life beyond the campus, embodying the spirit of service and academic rigor that OBU stands for. For more information about OBU’s Nursing Program CLICK HERE.
