Each year, the American Hospital Association, in conjunction with the state hospital associations, recognizes the achievements of grassroots leaders with the prestigious Grassroots Champions Award.
One hospital leader from each state is honored for his/her work over the previous year in effectively delivering the hospital message to elected officials; helping to broaden the base of community support for hospitals; and advocating tirelessly on behalf of patients, hospitals and communities.
James Moore, the president of INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center, has been selected as the 2016 Grassroots Champion for the state of Oklahoma.
Moore has been with INTEGRIS for 35+ years and is a longtime member of both the American and Oklahoma Hospital Associations. He will officially be presented the award at a state hospital association event in May.
