Seneca Dewbre, M.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Integris will now offer acupuncture through our Integrative Medicine Clinic every Tuesday morning at the Wellness Center at the INTEGRIS Cancer Institute, and every Tuesday afternoon through the INTEGRIS James L. Hall Jr. Center for Mind, Body and Spirit in Building D at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most common medical practices in the world. Based on ancient Chinese medicine dating back thousands of years, it has been used to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses. In conjunction with standard Western medicine practices, acupuncture can help maximize the effectiveness of medicine and reduce potential side effects. In 2003 the World Health Organization published a report about clinical trials researching the effectiveness of acupuncture, discussing more than 100 indications across the following conditions: psychological, neurological, musculo-skeletal, respiratory, gastrointestinal, gynecological, cardiovascular and others.
We would like to introduce our acupuncturist, Seneca Dewbre, M.A.O.M., L.Ac. Dewbre has a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is currently completing her doctorate specialization in gynecology. Additionally, she is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Oklahoma does not have a licensing certification for acupuncturists at this time. She has experience in both private practice as well as outpatient services within a hospital setting.
