\u00a0<\/span>\u2022 Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for patient examinations and prepare patients for medical exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Interview and record patients\/participants\u2019 medical history, vital statistics, medications, and other medical information.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist clinicians in the examination process.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintain patient records and adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepare and administer medications, injections, or treatments.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Draw blood and obtain and prepare other specimens for lab tests as directed by the physician or other health care provider.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Coordinate with external medical facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist with prior authorizations and other patient support as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Schedule appointments, maintain medical records, and complete paperwork.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Input patient\/participant data into disease-specific database.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Serve as liaison between patient and providers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Coordinate care with other entities (insurance, pharmacy, external health care providers).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Qualifications<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u2022 High school diploma or GED and 6 months of relevant experience or combination of education and experience.\u2022 Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\u2022 One of the following certifications or licenses:\u00a0 \u00a0o CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA)\u00a0 \u00a0o CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA)\u00a0 \u00a0o RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT)\u00a0 \u00a0o NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT) OR\u00a0 \u00a0o LPN licensure having graduated from an accredited practical nursing programMust demonstrate strong organizational and nursing skills. Experience with data entry, managing patient files and records, and medical terminology. Must be detail oriented, flexible, adaptive, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to deal professionally with diverse personalities and cultures in stressful and difficult situations. Ability to work under strict deadlines, maintain confidential information and keep up-to-date technically. Must have the ability to multi-task, work independently and as a team player.<\/span><\/p>\n
