Performs all sterile procedures as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Performs stomal irrigation and applies colostomy pouches.<\/li>\n<li>Performs oral and tracheostomy suctioning.<\/li>\n<li>Administers tube feedings to patients.<\/li>\n<li>Takes emergency actions as required.<\/li>\n<li>Performs all treatments and procedures as defined on initial skills checklist.<\/li>\n<li>Reports symptoms and significant changes in patient\u2019s condition or behavior to RN.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with admission, discharge and transfer process.<\/li>\n<li>Transports patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary; assists transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps the patient\u2019s room in clean and orderly condition; makes beds, replaces soiled linen.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in restocking rooms with supplies and equipment as directed.<\/li>\n<li>Duties may be performed for one patient or more than one patient.<\/li>\n<li>When assigned to one patient, provides care, observes the patient and does not leave the patient alone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><b>General Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><b>Education &amp; Experience: <\/b>Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting <b>OR<\/b> completion of a health related vocational education course of at least 3 months<b> OR<\/b> completion of the first semester of clinical education in an associate or bachelor\u2019s degree program from a non-nursing health care discipline.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><b><span class=\"WCK2\">License(s)\/Certification(s)\/Registration(s)<\/span> Required: <\/b>Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><b>Knowledge, Skills and <span class=\"WCK2\">Abilities:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> <\/b>Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures.
